Prof. Jieshan Qiu, Cheung-Kong Distinguished Professor of Carbon Science and Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China. His research encompasses both fundamental and applied aspects of carbon materials and science, with a focus on the methodologies of producing carbon materials for energy storage and conversion, catalysis, and environment protection. He has published 1000+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Mater., Nature Catal., Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., PNAS, Nature Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Soc. Semih Eser is a professor of energy and geo-environmental engineering. Eser received his B.S. (1976) and M.S. (1978) degrees in chemical engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and his Ph.D. (1986) in Fuel Science from Penn State. From 1987 to 1988, he worked as a research associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University. He returned to Penn State in 1988 and was appointed an assistant fuel science assistant professor in 1989. He served the Department of Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering as associate head (2001–2006) and Acting Head (2004). At the EMS Energy Institute, Eser was the associate director and director of the Laboratory for Hydrocarbon Process Chemistry (1995–2000). Currently, he teaches at the John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering and serves as the director of Carbon Materials Program at the EMS Energy Institute. His professional activities include serving as Program Chair (2004) and Executive Committee Chair (2006), and Councilor (2010–2012) of the Fuel Chemistry Division, and Councilor (2013–2021) of the Energy and Fuels Division of American Chemical Society. He has been inducted as an ACS Fellow in 2014. Professor Eser currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of ASTM International, Journal of Oil, Gas, and Coal Technology, Journal of New Carbon Materials, and as section editor of Energy and Fuels in the Chemistry Central Journal. Eser's research interests include the reactivity and microscopic characterization of cokes and carbons, coke/carbon formation and deposition mechanisms, inhibition of undesired carbon deposition, and molecular analysis and processing of petroleum feedstocks. In 2014, Professor Eser was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at Izmir Technology Institute in Turkey.

Prof. Young Soo Kang is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and a director in Nanostructured Material Lab. at the Sogang University. He has working as review panel members of ACS, Wiley Science and Elsevier Chemistry Journals. He received the BSc and the MSc degree in Chemistry from Pusan National University, Busan, Korea in 1984 and 1986 and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Houston, U.S.A in 1992, postdoctoral fellow at University of California at Berkeley and Stanford Unievrsity, respectively, for his work on Nanomaterials and Surfactant Related Materials Chemistry. Current research interests are focused on the synthesis and application of nanostructured materials for IT and Energy Related Fields. He has published over 170 journals from ACS, Wiley Science and Elsevier.

Dr. Ajeet Kaushik is an associate professor in Florida Polytechnic University’s Department of Chemistry. He joined the University in the fall of 2019 and has since been exploring applied chemistry in support of Florida Poly’s STEM education and training objectives that align well with Florida’s development. In this direction, Kaushik established the NanoBioTech Laboratory inside the Barnett Applied Research Center to perform cutting-edge research in the fields of nanotechnology, green chemistry, analytical chemistry and electrochemical sensors for health and environmental management. To support and promote Florida Poly’s research culture, he established the University’s Electrochemical Society (ECS)-affiliated student chapter and serves the Florida Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS). To achieve his goals, Kaushik relies on his strong subjective knowledge and exceptional professional training, which include a bi-institution Ph.D. in chemistry and nano-enabled sensors from the National Physical Laboratory and Jamia Milia Islamia in New Delhi, India; a visiting scholar position at Chungnam National University, South Korea; a research associate position at Dublin City University; post-doc at the department of electrical and computer engineering of Florida International University; and an assistant professor position at the Herbert Wertheim Medical College of FIU.

Giuseppe Trusso Sfrazzetto achieved the PhD in Chemical Sciences on 2011, discussing the thesis entitled "Design and synthesis of novel macrocyclic cavitands". During his post doc activity, he developed new fluorescent organic receptors able to detect intracellular metal ions involved in some important neurodegenerative diseases (i.e. Parkinson and Alzheimer). He is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemical Sciences, in the University of Catania. His research interest is focused on supramolecular chemistry and sensing.

Prof. Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 136) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.

Prof. Dr. Foo Keng Yuen is the UNESCO Co-Chair on Eco-hydraulics for Sustainable Water Infrastructures for SDG 6 in the Asia and the Pacific Region. His research interests are environmental engineering, waste utilization, water treatment technology, catalysis, food security and toxicology, and environmental health. He has involved in different kinds of university, national and international research grants, amounting to approximately RM 10 million. His aptitude for high quality research of international standing has been supported by the consultancy projects of exceeding RM 3 million, more than 200 international publications, with a total citation of exceeding 20,000, and an author h-index of 53. In term of Intellectual Properties, he holds 3 patents, 1 trade-secret and 1 trademark. Foo’s scholastic achievements and thought leadership are recognized locally and internationally. He is honoured to be the Top 2% Scientists in their Respective Fields and Top 2% Highly Cited Scientists in the world by the Stanford University, California consequentially for 8 years. Foo has been nominated to be the honoree of the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) 2022, Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) 2019, National Young Scientist Award 2017, International Young Inventor Award, Marquis Who's Who in the World, Top 100 Engineers, and Honorary Doctorate of Letters by International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England, and special award or medal winners in International Inventions, Competitions and Exhibitions. Professor Juan Matos Lale completed his PhD in Surface Physics and Chemistry through the Franco-Venezuelan Postgraduate Cooperation Program between the École Centrale de Lyon (France) and the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research in 1999, studying the "Influence of Carbon Materials on Heterogeneous Photocatalytic Reactions and Solar Nanotechnology." He is a co-founder and director of the Chilean Association of Carbon Materials and a co-founder of the Latin American Carbon Federation, of which he was President (2016-2018). He was Director (2017-2020) of the Franco-Chilean Network for Biochar Valorization for Energy and Environmental Remediation. From 2015 to 2019, he was a Professor in the Energy Postgraduate Program and the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at the University of Concepción (UdeC), and a Bioenergy Researcher at the Technological Development Unit (UDT) of the same university. In 2020, he joined the Institute of Applied Chemical Sciences at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Autónoma de Chile as a permanent Senior Professor and Academic. There, he leads the Smart NanoMat group, which has begun developing and characterizing various types of nanomaterials, including semiconductors, hybrid materials, and carbon materials such as activated carbon, biocarbons, foams, glassy carbons, nanotubes, and graphene, among others. He also studies heteroatom-doped systems for evaluation in the production and storage of clean energy, such as hydrogen production, solar cells, fuel cells, photocatalytic processes for environmental remediation (primarily of contaminated water and air), and the production of solar fuels. Professor Matos is currently also an adjunct professor at the Millennium Nucleus in Catalytic Processes for Sustainable Chemistry (CSC). He has given approximately 271 presentations at conferences, including 88 plenary sessions, keynote addresses, and invited lectures. He has a total of 222 publications, of which more than 87 articles have been published in high-impact journals and serial books, 2 patents, more than 2500 citations and an H factor of 24. He has developed different international research projects and collaborative technological application with Mexico, Spain and France, as he has been and is director of projects with Chilean funds such as FONDEF-IDEA, CORFO-INNOVA, FAE-SEREMI, FONDECYT, among others.

Prof. Jerry Zeyu Gao is a professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Applied Data Science Department at San Jose State University. Now, he is the reseach center director of Smart Complex Systems. He had over 25 years of academic research and teaching experience and over10 years of industry working and management experience on software engineering and IT development applications. He has published over hundreds (350) publications in IEEE/ACM journals, magazines, International conferences and workshops. He has co-authored three published technical books and edited numerous books in software engineering, software testing, and mobile computing. His current research areas include smart cyber phsical systems, smart cities, AI and machine learning, cloud computing and mobile cloud services, intelligent system test automation. In addition, he has published numerous book chapters, and edited a number of special issues for archived Besides, Dr. Gao has provided his technical consultant and training services for numerous international IT and telecommunication companies, including Fujitsu Network, Intuit, eBay, HP, IBM, Haiwei, Cisco, and UT-StartCom. In 2010, Jerry Gao has been recognized by UTA as a distinguished Alumna for College of Engineering at its 50th anniversary. In 2011, he was award as a KSI Fellow in SEKE2011. In 2013, Dr. Gao has received the College of Engineering Faculty Award for Excellence in scholarship, journals, and served as an editorial board member and an associate editor for several international journals in software engineering and electronic commerce, such as IJSEKE. In the last 10 years, Dr. Gao has played as one of leaders in organizing many international conferences and workshops as a conference co-chair, program co-chair, and workshop co-chair. Since 2019, Dr. Gao has been served as the steering board chair for IEEE CISOSE Congress on Intelligent and Service-Oriented Systems Engineering, which consists of IEEE Future Technology Summit and six IEEE international conferences, including IEEE SOSE, IEEE BigdataService, IEEE MobileCloud, IEEE AITest, IEEE JCC, and IEEE DAPPS. These include SEKE06-2011, IEEE MobileCloud2013, IEEE SOSE2011-2013, ICYCS'05, TQACBS2005-2006, WMCS2004-2010, IEEE EMOBS07-08, TEST'07, and EECC2006. In this year, he served as a conference chair IEEEMobileCloud2014, and workshop program co-chair AST2014.

Prof. Vistasp M. Karbhari is Professor in the Departments of Civil Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington where he served as President from 2013 to 2020. He is passionate about the mission of public research universities of enabling an affordable education at the highest levels of academic rigor simultaneously enabling talent development for immediate success in the workforce, and enhancing opportunities for access to higher education to all while substantially increasing the scope of the knowledge enterprise to meet the needs of the 21st century. An internationally recognized researcher, President Karbhari is an expert in the processing and mechanics of composites, durability of materials, infrastructure rehabilitation, and multi-threat mitigation and has authored/coauthored over 460 papers in journals and conference publications and is the editor/co-editor of 6 books.
