Prof. Jieshan Qiu, Cheung-Kong Distinguished Professor of Carbon Science and Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China. His research encompasses both fundamental and applied aspects of carbon materials and science, with a focus on the methodologies of producing carbon materials for energy storage and conversion, catalysis, and environment protection. He has published 1000+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Mater., Nature Catal., Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Environ. Semih Eser is a professor of energy and geo-environmental engineering. Eser received his B.S. (1976) and M.S. (1978) degrees in chemical engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and his Ph.D. (1986) in Fuel Science from Penn State. From 1987 to 1988, he worked as a research associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University. He returned to Penn State in 1988 and was appointed an assistant fuel science assistant professor in 1989. He served the Department of Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering as associate head (2001–2006) and Acting Head (2004). At the EMS Energy Institute, Eser was the associate director and director of the Laboratory for Hydrocarbon Process Chemistry (1995–2000). Currently, he teaches at the John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering and serves as the director of Carbon Materials Program at the EMS Energy Institute. His professional activities include serving as Program Chair (2004) and Executive Committee Chair (2006), and Councilor (2010–2012) of the Fuel Chemistry Division, and Councilor (2013–2021) of the Energy and Fuels Division of American Chemical Society. He has been inducted as an ACS Fellow in 2014. Professor Eser currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of ASTM International, Journal of Oil, Gas, and Coal Technology, Journal of New Carbon Materials, and as section editor of Energy and Fuels in the Chemistry Central Journal. Eser's research interests include the reactivity and microscopic characterization of cokes and carbons, coke/carbon formation and deposition mechanisms, inhibition of undesired carbon deposition, and molecular analysis and processing of petroleum feedstocks. In 2014, Professor Eser was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at Izmir Technology Institute in Turkey.

Prof. Young Soo Kang is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and a director in Nanostructured Material Lab. at the Sogang University. He has working as review panel members of ACS, Wiley Science and Elsevier Chemistry Journals. He received the BSc and the MSc degree in Chemistry from Pusan National University, Busan, Korea in 1984 and 1986 and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Houston, U.S.A in 1992, postdoctoral fellow at University of California at Berkeley and Stanford Unievrsity, respectively, for his work on Nanomaterials and Surfactant Related Materials Chemistry. Current research interests are focused on the synthesis and application of nanostructured materials for IT and Energy Related Fields. He has published over 170 journals from ACS, Wiley Science and Elsevier.

Dr. Ajeet Kaushik is an associate professor in Florida Polytechnic University’s Department of Chemistry. He joined the University in the fall of 2019 and has since been exploring applied chemistry in support of Florida Poly’s STEM education and training objectives that align well with Florida’s development. In this direction, Kaushik established the NanoBioTech Laboratory inside the Barnett Applied Research Center to perform cutting-edge research in the fields of nanotechnology, green chemistry, analytical chemistry and electrochemical sensors for health and environmental management. To support and promote Florida Poly’s research culture, he established the University’s Electrochemical Society (ECS)-affiliated student chapter and serves the Florida Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS). To achieve his goals, Kaushik relies on his strong subjective knowledge and exceptional professional training, which include a bi-institution Ph.D. in chemistry and nano-enabled sensors from the National Physical Laboratory and Jamia Milia Islamia in New Delhi, India; a visiting scholar position at Chungnam National University, South Korea; a research associate position at Dublin City University; post-doc at the department of electrical and computer engineering of Florida International University; and an assistant professor position at the Herbert Wertheim Medical College of FIU.
